So, What Might This Cost?
In terms of cost per square foot, kitchens are the most expensive part of your house. This is largely because every surface has a specialty finish: tile backsplash, countertops, cabinets, lots of lighting, etc.
Depending on where you live, you can expect to pay $80 - $300/square foot for a new kitchen.
Holy Cow! Where Does That Money Go?
This graphic shows the rough break down of what percentage each element of a new kitchen costs relative to the whole project.
Certainly this can change based on the quality of the items you are selecting (for example, you might have a large Eat-In area in your kitchen which could increase the percentage of flooring and reduce the percentage of cabinetry), but this is a good guideline of what each element might cost of your overall budget.
Typical Contractor & Design Fees for a new kitchen are 10-15% of the construction cost added on top to get your project total.
What About Timeline?
The time your project will take to finish depends on the size of your space and the detail in your finishes, however, this graphic shows a rough idea of how many weeks a Ladder Up team will need to complete the job.
For example, if you are wanting stone countertops, you can expect at least a 3 week job since stone countertops need to be templated in place after the cabinets are installed, fabricated, and then brought to your home. If you are adding or moving plumbing or changing walls, you can expect the job to be roughly 5 weeks.
